About Emma Bleznak

Emma Bleznak, a Pennsylvania native who currently resides in New York City, works in the world of media relations with simultaneous focuses in journalism and communications. Emma has worked closely with digital and print editors over the course of her career and has proved successful in building trustworthy relationships and adapting her skills to multiple domains. Before taking a role as a copywriter at Macy’s, Inc., Emma worked as a writer and digital media coordinator on the marketing team at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan, a mid-sized law firm with four locations nationwide. She was a high-ranking lifestyle writer for The Cheat Sheet, a website dedicated to providing reliable and exciting content both newsworthy and evergreen. Emma also played a role in creating project updates for the Advancement Department at James Madison University to further donor relations with Madison Trust, the university’s Alumni donor program. As an undergraduate student, Emma wrote for two of her university’s student-led magazines, Curio and Madison 101, where she also acted as managing print editor. Emma communicates with teams on a regional scale and is no stranger to a fast-paced environment. Her role as a successful media engager supports a broad scope of practices including journalistic endeavors, media relations, client relations, and organizational communication - just to name a few. 

Emma graduated from James Madison University in May of 2017 with a Bachelor of Arts degree from the School of Media Arts and Design with a concentration in journalism and a minor in communications.
